Monahan Filaments manufactures the Abralon® brand of abrasive filaments, a well known and respected name in the production of brushes and tools for Industrial Finishing and Floor Care products. Originally designed years ago as a substitute for wire, non-woven pads and other abrasive media, Abralon® brand abrasive filaments have proven more productive and cost effective than their counterparts.

State of the art investments in equipment and technology have risen the bar in terms of quality, consistency and performance. Our improved process has created filaments well suited for parts finishing, surface preparation, floor care products and many other aggressive and demanding applications.

MFI abrasives are available in a number of grit sizes, aluminum oxide or silicon carbide and various dimensions and cross sections to achieve maximum results. New composite structures are also available that allow MFI to respond to application needs of our customers. If your abrasives are exposed to extreme conditions such as elevated temperatures or acidic environments, our Bilon additive is available which extends the service life of abrasive filaments under such harsh conditions.
