 Monahan Filaments Inc. has become a leader in the field of filament extrusion
and technology. With years of experience and our continued commitment
to research and development, the list of available filaments continues
to grow to this day. Monahan Filaments versatility allows for
one of the most diverse selections of materials available and includes
products made with polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrenes,
polyesters, nylon 6, 6.6, 6.10 and 6.12 and many other specialty
materials for unique applications. Our products are noted for their
versatility and serve many markets including Household, Industrial,
Paint, Personal Care/Cosmetic, Janitorial/Sanitation, Automotive,
Vacuum, Construction and textile Industries.
- Production Capabilities
- Wide variety of filaments manufactured from various thermoplastic
resins
- Filament diameters range from .0025 – .130, depending
on material selected.
- Specific ovalities may be selected
- Crimped filaments are available in all materials
- Shaped filaments available in polypropylene, polyethylene,
nylon, and polyester.
- Flaggable filaments include FT products, LX nylon
and LX PBT. Double or single end flagging of pre-cut lengths
of 4” – 12” available for a modest surcharge.
- Aluminum Oxide or Silicone Carbide impregnated filaments
available in Nylon 6, 6.6, 6.10 & 6.12
- Wax coating available on abrasive filaments
- Tapered or level paintbrush filaments available in Nylon
and polyester alloy materials. Tapered filaments available
in a number of ratios.
- Numerous additives extending service life in harsh environments
- Extensive color concentrate inventory

Most filaments are custom engineered to fit your
product end use. Performance properties can also be designed into
your filaments, including softness, stiffness and abrasiveness.
If your application requires materials outside our current specifications,
we will work with your development team to determine if your desired
product is within production capabilities. This close collaboration
with our customers has lead to a number of new products and innovative
solutions for all types of applications.
