 Monahan Filaments is a custom manufacturer specializing in Structural Foam
and Injection molded parts for the Brush and Broom Industry. We
carry an extensive inventory of over 70 parts covering all market
segments. If we do not carry the item you are looking for, our experienced
engineering and design staff is available to collaborate on any
and all projects from concept to finished product. Our standard
product line is broken down into five categories: Hand Tools, Floorsweeps,
Vehicle & Wash, Rotaries, Handles & Adapters and Specialty

STOCK ITEMS, STANDARD COLORS
Monahan Filaments' Molding Division is committed
to total customer service. We stock over 70 popular block styles
and colors: next day shipping is available, if required. Every
effort is made to maintain inventory levels, but temporary stock-outs
may occur during unforeseen spikes in demand. Early placement
of your orders facilitates planning and ensures that stock will
be available to fill those inevitable rush orders.
NON-STOCK ITEMS, CUSTOM COLORS
Our customers' growing needs for customization
are also a Monahan Filaments priority. When your marketing strategy
demands a special product, you'll appreciate our efforts to keep
minimum order and lead-time requirements as low as possible. By
understanding and addressing the issues that impact cost and delivery,
Monahan Filaments is able to offer even the smallest market
segments the same top-quality service enjoyed by our largest customers.
Solid Plastics
Custom colors are available for all injection molded (Class "S")
products. The cost of customization is affected by mold setup
costs, color change time, length of production run, cost of color
concentrate and the quantity. To realize the lowest cost, choose
a currently stocked concentrate and combine the custom production
run with a regularly scheduled stock run.
Structural Foam
Although it is possible to mold structural foam (Class "F")
in any color, Monahan Filaments' standard offerings are limited
to the following:
- 91 Tan - Our standard color; availability is
unlimited
- 80 Black - Run approximately every other month
- 70 White - Run quarterly (approximate)
Mold availability and cavitation impact the expected
output of each production run. Good communication is a "must"
for customized foam products. (Additional colors are available
if certain minimum requirements can be met. Speak to your Monahan Filaments sales representative for further details.)
MOLD MODIFICATIONS
Certain Monahan Filaments molds may be modified,
allowing us to "customize" products to suit your needs.
Throughout the Product Description section, references are made
to products that may be privately labeled with molded-in logos.
Other products support other variations. As the marketplace has
evolved, the popularity of certain products has waned. If you
require a variation of one of these deigns that , if implemented,
might revitalize interest in the item, Monahan Filaments will
consider making the needed modification as no cost. (We encourage
all customers' ideas and suggestions. Monahan Filaments' primary
mission is to be the leading supplier of brush blocks; that goal
will be achieved only through the free exchange of ideas with
our customers.
CUSTOM MOLDS, ENGINEERING SERVICES
Monahan Filaments is continuously expanding
its ability to take customers' proprietary ideas from concept
to finished product. The availability of injection molding to
500 tons, coupled with our unique structural foam molding capability,
allows Monahan Filaments customers to consider both molding
processes with engineering new products. In-house mold making
brings yet another dimension to our customer services, often offering
substantial savings when compared to alternative sources. And,
