At the request of many brush manufacturers, Monahan Filaments has developed and recently completed a full line of natural
fiber alternatives allowing it to compete in the natural fibers
marketplace. Synthetic filaments as an alternative ensure a reliable
supply and guarantee consistency in quality. Recent innovations
have yielded a number of filaments that have superior technical
and physical characteristics as well as a look and feel that closely
resemble their natural counterpart. Not only do synthetic filaments

DuraPalm I & II and
PolyPalm I & II
A special mix of varying diameters, crimps and colors that give
it the look, feel and improved performance of Palmyra and Palmyra
stalks. Consistent quality, light weight and free of debris this
product will help reduce waste by as much as 20%. Both DuraPalm
and PolyPalm are available in two different grades for various
applications. Their improved properties will add value to your

PolyUnion and TamPoly
Two of the newest arrivals to the family of natural fiber replacement
products developed as substitutes for Tampico and Union Mix. These
filaments increase value with improved performance characteristics
and increase productivity with higher yields and reduced waste.
These products will remain stiff when wet and are excellent for
aggressive scrubbing applications. They also have excellent resistance
to most chemicals and cleaning solutions.
Equestran
A natural Horsehair alternative excellent for floorsweeps, shoe
brushes and anywhere horsehair is used. Equestran is readily available,
